Tough Decisions

Sometimes we have to made really hard decisions as adults. Its one of my least favorite things of being a "grown up." However, this past week Kevin and I made a big decision... one that affects not only us but our kids as well. What is it you ask?

I have decided to stay home with the boys and not work, not go to school, not do anything but raise them to be the most amazing kids they can be.

It has been a very long and drawn out process. Something that I've prayed about. Something that we discussed in detail. I know its not going to be easy. I know it's going to be difficult {it already has been}. But I also know that it is the best thing we can do for our little ones right now. They need guidance, structure, and to know that their parents love them. I would love to be in school and finish  up my degree,  but the thought of them being with a stranger more hours of the day than being with me saddens me. I should raise them, not someone else.

And so I start my journey as a stay at home mom...

Hi, I'm Jenna Johnson's sister and I saw the link to your blog on hers and had to comment. When I joined the church and got married shortly after, my hubby and I decided together that it would be the best thing for our family for me to stay at home with the kids. I recieved ALOT of slack from ALOT of people for not finishing school and JUST staying home.

Be strong! Your family will be blessed for your faith! You will never regret this decision, and don't let anyone ever downplay your role as a mother . Enjoy it!

Your boys are so LUCKY to have you as a mom. I hope one day they grow up to realize what a great sacrifice you and your husband are making for them.

I'm sure you all will have your hard times, but I know you will have many good times too. :)

To be honest, this post made me a little jealous. I would love to be able to stay home with my son. You are so LUCKY!!!

I pray that the Lord will bless you and your dear family as you start this new chapter in your life. :)

good luck! it's going to be amazing and hard all at the same time! When i worked Hannah stayed with my parents who spoil her rotten! and are amazing with her. Yet, even being with them the change in her that happened when i started staying home was incredible! no one can replace the impact you staying home will have on those boys!

Yeah!! I am so happy that you made the decision that you feel is right for you.

I think Heavenly Father had a huge hand in this. In fact, I know he did.

Love you!!
